This was my first time at À TERRA, the restaurant inside the Octant hotel in Furnas, and I went straight for their Sunday brunch. Important detail, this is not the regular menu, it’s a special brunch setup. And honestly? It blew me away.
At the time of the visit, the brunch was €30 per person. Not cheap, but considering the amount and quality of food, the value for money is actually very good. This wasn’t some sad hotel brunch with jelly and cheap desserts. The spread was huge and surprisingly serious. Pancakes, proper desserts, codfish, even cozido portuguesa. Yes, really. Everything tasted fresh and well done.
The space itself feels classy without being stiff, modern mixed with a bit of vintage. Service was on point, friendly and attentive. After this experience, I’m genuinely curious to come back and try the normal menu.

- Free parking inside the hotel
- Very good value for money for what you get
- Outstanding brunch, both in quantity and quality

- Not cheap, even if it’s worth it
