I’ve only been here twice in my life. The first time was many years ago, and I didn’t have a good experience. I went back recently, and yeah… I remembered why.

This place sells itself as the best steak in town. It’s not. Not even close.

The steak isn’t bad, but that’s about as far as it goes. Portions are small, the sauce is pretty bland, and for the price you’re paying, it just doesn’t make sense. You can get a better steak, for less money, in plenty of places around São Miguel.

It’s not a bad restaurant, and I’m not saying you should avoid it at all costs. But calling this the best steak in town is a stretch. Manage your expectations and you’ll be fine.
