This is a very particular restaurant because it’s also a school for chefs and service staff. Most of the time, the person serving you is someone new, but don’t let that fool you. They’re always supervised by teachers, and because of that, the service is almost always top-notch. The space is wide open, very clean, and minimalistic. No clutter, no distractions. The food follows a fine-dining style and it’s consistently very good. I’ve honestly never eaten anything here that I didn’t like. I wouldn’t put it as the absolute best fine-dining restaurant on São Miguel, but it’s easily in the top five. What really makes this place stand out are the prices. It’s not cheap, but within the fine-dining category, it’s actually very affordable. One more big plus: at lunchtime, they have a different menu that is way cheaper than dinner and still very solid. You can eat fine dining at lunch without killing your wallet.
