Black Whale is a relatively new restaurant with a very classic Portuguese style.
Nothing experimental, nothing fancy. Just familiar dishes done properly.
The food is above average.
Seafood is good, octopus is solid, squid is well prepared, and the steak is a safe bet.
It’s not one of those places that will blow your mind, but it’s clearly better than average.
Prices are normal for what you get.
Overall, this is one of those restaurants you choose when you don’t want to think too much.
Safe, reliable, and consistently good.
