The location is, by far, the best thing about Café Central. It’s right in the middle of Ponta Delgada’s city center, with a great view over the local church. You sit outside, café-style, and the vibe is actually nice. Perfect for watching the city go by. Food-wise, this is more of a café than a restaurant. Think sandwiches, burgers, and light meals. You can definitely have a full meal here, but don’t expect anything amazing. The quality is okay. Totally fine for a café, but nothing memorable. What really lets this place down is the service. It’s slow, inconsistent, and sometimes feels a bit careless. Not rude, but not attentive either. You often feel like you’re waiting… and waiting… and waiting some more.
