Cantinho da Mãe isn’t really a “sit down and enjoy the vibe” kind of place. It’s more of a takeaway spot with a few seats, where you go for quick, no-nonsense food. You can build your own sandwich, but the real move is the daily dishes. They usually have two or three ready, and they just serve you fast, simple, and done.

The surprising part is the quality. For something this casual, the food is actually really good, and cheap, which is rare these days. Portions are generous too, some of those doses can easily be enough for two people. It’s perfect if you want to grab something and eat elsewhere, or just need a solid quick lunch without spending much.

Just don’t expect comfort. The place is tiny, and at lunchtime it gets packed, especially with teachers from the nearby school. If you hit peak hour, good luck finding space. But if you’re nearby and want something quick, cheap, and reliable, this is a no-brainer.
