Jardim Municipal de Ribeira Grande

Jardim Municipal da Ribeira Grande sits right in the city, but honestly, it barely feels like a proper park or garden.

There isn’t much shade, which already hurts it a lot. There are benches to sit, a small kids’ playground, and I think there’s a small tennis or paddle court, not 100% sure which one. I don’t remember seeing bathrooms, which doesn’t help either.

The one genuinely nice thing here is the little river running through the middle with a small bridge. That part actually works. It adds a bit of charm and gives the place a slightly cliché, postcard vibe.

But once that novelty passes, there’s not much left. It’s fine for a quick stop if you’re already nearby, but it’s not a place you go out of your way for.
