Jardim Natural Food & Coffee

Jardim Natural Food and Coffee is a relatively new spot and the location alone already puts it at an advantage. It sits right inside Jardim António Borges, which means you’re eating surrounded by greenery, trees, and actual nature. Ducks, chickens, baby chickens walking around like they own the place. It’s funny and oddly relaxing.

Food wise, this place surprised me. The pancakes are on another level. Tall, thick, super well done, and very different from the typical American sugar bombs. These feel thought out. Less sweet, more balanced, and honestly, the best pancakes I’ve had so far on São Miguel.

The menu has a strong vegetarian and healthy vibe, but without feeling boring or preachy. Everything feels fresh and intentional. Different, but different in a good way.

Downside? Space.

It’s a small, outdoor setup, so it fills up fast. When it’s busy, it’s busy. No magic solution there.
