Rui's experience
Os Melos in Nordeste is one of those classic Portuguese all-you-can-eat buffet spots.
Food? Okay.
Atmosphere? Okay.
Price? Actually not bad.
But here’s the problem. Nothing stands out.
It didn’t impress me. At all. The service wasn’t great, which makes a buffet experience even more “meh”. And when you know there’s another restaurant literally 20 meters down the street doing the same concept, but better (Poço Azul) it’s hard to justify this one.
It’s not terrible. It’s just forgettable. And forgettable in the Azores, where you have options, is not a compliment.
Pros
- Affordable
- All-you-can-eat format
Cons
- Service not good
- No wow factor
