    "Paid entry, zero regrets."

    Rui's experience

Parque da Grená sits right next to Lagoa das Furnas and honestly, it’s one of those places where you forget about time.

Yes, it’s paid. Yes, it’s worth it.

This is a dense, humid, mossy park that feels more like a forest than a garden. Everything is green, wet, alive. The maintenance is excellent, but it still feels raw and natural, not overly polished.

There’s a beautiful trail that takes you to a big waterfall, and that walk alone already justifies the visit. Inside the park you’ll also find a hot tub, which feels almost surreal in the middle of all that greenery.

This is not a quick stop. You can easily spend half a day here, or more if you really take your time. It’s calm, immersive, and visually strong from start to finish.

If you’re visiting Furnas Lake and skip this, you’re missing one of the best nature experiences in the area.

    Pros

    • Very strong wow factor
    • Dense, raw nature with moss and humidity
    • Beautiful trail and waterfall
    • Hot tub inside the park

    Cons

    • Paid entry
    • Requires time
