This is one of those classic city swimming pools in Ribeira Grande. Facilities-wise, it’s fine. Pools, changing rooms, everything you’d expect from a municipal pool.
The problem? I’ve been here two or three times and every single time the pools smelled like piss. No exaggeration. Always.
That immediately kills any sense of hygiene or comfort. Maybe it was bad luck. Maybe not. I’m just telling you what I experienced.
