Praia de São Roque is one of those small neighborhood beaches that locals quietly enjoy, especially families. It’s not big, not dramatic, and definitely not a “wow” beach, but it’s comfortable and protected enough for a relaxed swim.
The water is usually clean, and because the beach is small it often feels more cozy than the bigger beaches nearby. On warm days you’ll see plenty of locals here just hanging out, going for a quick swim, and enjoying the sun without the crowds.
