"Also known as Praia Pequena, and yeah, the name fits."

    Rui's experience

This is the family beach. Period.

Mornings are full of parents, kids, umbrellas, snacks, zero drama. If the sun is still chill, this place is perfect. Later in the day it gets busier, noisier, more chaotic, so timing matters.

It’s right next to Praia das Milícias, but it feels smaller, calmer, and more controlled. Parking is easy, facilities are good, there’s a restaurant right there, and everything is basically five steps from the road. Super convenient, not wild at all.

Sometimes they set up nets and run those beach racket games, paddle, frescobol, whatever you want to call it. Random competitions, good vibes.

    Pros

    • Very family friendly, especially in the morning. Kids everywhere, in a good way.
    • Good facilities. Showers, bathrooms, and a solid restaurant nearby.
    • Sometimes has sports nets and small competitions, which gives it some life.

    Cons

    • Small beach, so it fills up fast in summer.
