Terras was a huge surprise. I walked in expecting one more trendy brunch place with overpriced food and tiny portions.
Nope. Completely wrong. The place itself has a really cool atmosphere, kind of a mix between modern and vintage, without trying too hard to look “Instagrammable.” It actually feels comfortable.
I went there for lunch and tried the dish of the day, a risotto, and the thing that completely shocked me was the price versus quality. Soup, main dish, drink, coffee, all for under 10€. In the center of Ponta Delgada. Honestly, I still don’t understand how they make money with those prices.
The food style leans slightly more toward a casual fine-dining vibe, but without the pretentious BS. They also have some Italian influence, including homemade-style pizzas. I only went once so far, but this is absolutely one of those places I need to revisit because the first impression was ridiculously good.

- nsanely good value for money
- Cool modern-vintage atmosphere
- Very central location in Ponta Delgada
- Food feels more premium than the prices suggest

- Still need to try more dishes before fully judging consistency
